Captain Morgan - Chapter 6Morgan snuggled closer to him, burying her face into his chest. Will stroked her hair, absent-mindedly, eager to hear her story.
"Where to start?" She mused.
"At the beginning", Will said smiling, "I want to know all there is to know about you Captain..."
After a short pause, and a heavy sigh, Morgan began.
"All right...Well, I was born a Londoner, like yourself. But unlike you, I was born into poverty. My family had little to no money, and growing mouths to feed. My father drowned his sorrows with drink. Spending money we didn't have on getting liquired up, just to come home every night drunk and beat on his children. My mother was an oblivious fool, a silly little woman...always trying to come off as richer than she was, going on social calls and charity events. She wasted money as bad as Da' , buying herself luxuries and leaving her children to starve. I believe my parents really did love each other, but they couldn't care less about us. Me and my sisters left home when I was 13."

It didn't feel right, he should be up there beside them. He watched as his fellow shipmates...his friends were executed. He stood in the midst of the crowd, not wanting to be seen, not wanting to feel their anger towards him...the anger he deserved. He tried negotiating with the authorities, he wanted to die to. He'd killed people same as them, he'd been a part of the same battles, but the law wasn't having any of that. They said he'd been brainwashed. An outstanding gentlemen like himself, could not have become a pirate through choice. So he watched them all die, from the sidelines. He was only there to see one person though. He only really needed to see her. He knew if he didn't go and be witness to her execution he'd never forgive his own cowardice, he just had to deal with the fact that he'd be cursed with the image of her swinging, dead body for the rest of his life. Of course she was executed last, Captains always were, deemed the worst of all.
